During an interview with a candidate for a managerial position, quite naturally occurred, that my interviewee is a mother of three children.
My first thought was – what an amazing woman! She must be perfectly organized, multi-tasking, and goal-oriented.
However, this fantastic leader, not provoked in any way by me, began to explain herself about her motherhood. She tried to convince me, that is fully available and engaged. Her commitment and availability are reaching so far, that in the last 3 years she has never visited a doctor with any of her kids, nor taken a sick leave to stay home with her babies.
Dear Moms, don’t give in to pressure.
Being a mom does not evaluate you as a leader.
A good employer does not expect such a sacrifice.
And only with such an employer, you do want to tie up.
