Dear Employer, what is your carbon footprint?
Episode #24

Dear Employer, what is your carbon footprint?

Interview with: Jacek Hutyra
Climate Officer at Orange Poland

🐞 Why should companies calculate their carbon footprint?

🐞 Why should we hold employers accountable for actions reducing and compensating for gas emissions into the natural environment?

The younger generations expect it. They say to us, “Wake up.” Together with Jacek Hutyra, Climate Officer at Orange Polska, we will try to wake you all up. This is very important to us.

Jacek Hutyra
It's not like only the biggest ones are able to calculate their carbon footprint and make the necessary reductions. Even the smallest company can do it. Let's disenchant it. This is not quantum physics. These are not manned flights to Mars. We have just supported the creation of a carbon calculator for small and medium-sized companies made by the Climate Strategies Poland Foundation. The calculator is free and every company, small and medium, can go there, set up a free account, and everything is explained there. - Dear company, tell us how much gasoline you use in cars, how much diesel fuel, fuel in generators. If you have an air conditioning system, describe it. If you use electricity - write how much and from where. Step by step you go through the topic and finally, you have your result.
