Leader’s legacy
Episode #1

Leader’s legacy

Interview with: Łukasz Chałaczkiewicz
General Manager East Europe at ekaterra

In our conversation, we focused on leadership and the whole palette of colors and shades that create the final image of a leader. In the case of good leaders, this picture will never be finished, because being a leader means constant evolution, development, and change.

We also talk with Łukasz about organizational culture based on building social bonds and small identities in the workplace, generations, gender equality, the authenticity of a leader, the human face of the boss exposed by the pandemic, management styles, and the way people are motivated. We will find out why the man with whom he would like to collide his thoughts is Nelson Mandela and what legacy the leaders will leave behind.

Łukasz Chałaczkiewicz
The greatest challenge for a leader, but probably also the greatest virtue that you have to build in yourself, and it is psychologically difficult, is trust. Be able to say - You are the best person for this position, I believe that you know your business very well, even better than I do, and you will make the right decisions. Don't interfere. Allowing this person to act, despite many micromanagement leaders, the internal organs will curl inside and the hand may shake. But this is the best we can do for our team and our people. Say - I trust you. Make a decision. I will support you. You know best. You have the data, you have the best experience and it is your responsibility.
