Medical packages for animals grab the heart and become a sought-after employee benefit. The initiative became famous thanks to Rossmann, which launched the “Animal Club” at the beginning of this year.
Ilona PeruΕΌyΕska-Zych, Director of the Human Resources Department at Rossmann, explained that the benefit arose indirectly as a result of a pandemic, which encouraged many people to adopt a pet. In addition, quite a large group of employees already had pets. After talking to employees, it sounded like a clear need.
What are the assumptions of the “Pet Club”?
π Each of Rossmann’s employees can use a certain amount of money during the year for veterinary consultations for their pets. These can be vaccinations, treatments, chipping, or visits to specialists.
π Rossmann pays 100% of the first pet package of a given employee and 50% of the second pet package.
π Animal owners can use the services of 300 veterinary offices cooperating with the PETHELP platform, which is the founder of the platform.
π As members of the Club, pet owners also receive a 10% discount on the assortment in animal stores (food, treats, supplements).

The benefit was introduced in January 2022. During this time, 1,300 employees of the company and their pets used it.
Rossmann is considering extending this benefit for another year. In addition, the company plans to organize webinars during which veterinarians will tell you how to prepare a pet for lonely days when its man will be working from the office.
